Terms of Service

Effective 5 November 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and [FTR Digital — registered company name] (“we”, “us”) for using the Itano app and website. By creating an account or using Itano, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.

1. What Itano is

Itano is a tool for planning trips together: building an itinerary, sharing it with the people you travel with, keeping your tickets and documents in one place, splitting expenses, and discovering trips and places other travellers share. Some features use automated systems, including AI, to read tickets, suggest plans and recommend places.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Itano.
  • Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • If you sign in with Apple or Google, their terms also apply to that sign-in.
  • Tell us at [contact email, e.g. [email protected]] straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Your content

It stays yours. You keep ownership of everything you add to Itano: trips, notes, photos, documents, expenses, tips and ratings (“your content”).

The licence you give us. So we can run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process, display and transmit your content, only as needed to provide Itano to you and the people you share it with. When you publish a trip to Discover or post a tip or rating, that licence also lets us show it to everyone using Itano, and lets other travellers copy a published trip, or a stop from it, into their own trips. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other travellers already made of a published trip and for content in backups until they expire.

Sharing is your choice. Anyone you invite to a trip can see everything on it, and editors can change it. Only invite people you trust with what the trip holds.

You're responsible for it. Only add content you have the right to share, and that doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights.

4. Acceptable use

When using Itano, you agree not to:

  • post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • share other people's personal data in public trips or tips without their permission;
  • post spam, advertising, or tips about places you have a business interest in without saying so;
  • try to access accounts, trips or data that aren't yours, or to probe, disrupt or overload the service;
  • scrape, copy or resell Itano's content or data, or use it to build a competing service;
  • reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

Travellers can report tips, and tips reported enough times are hidden. We may remove content, or suspend or close accounts, that break these rules.

5. Travel information and AI

Itanoshows information from other sources, including flight status, weather forecasts, maps, opening hours, place details and recommendations, and AI-generated plans and ticket readings. This information can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Always check what matters with the airline, operator, venue or official source, and don't rely on Itanoalone for travel documents, visas, health and safety, or making a connection. We aren't a travel agent: we don't sell, book or guarantee any travel, and your bookings are between you and the companies you book with.

Expense splits are a convenience for keeping track. Itano doesn't move money, and settling up is between you and your fellow travellers.

6. Other services

Itanouses maps, places and other content from third parties, including Google and Mapbox, whose terms also apply to that content. Links to other websites and apps are for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for them.

7. Our app

Itano, its design, software and brand belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own, non-commercial trip planning under these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.

8. Changes and availability

Itanois currently free. We may add, change or remove features, and if we ever introduce paid features, we'll tell you before you're charged anything. We work to keep Itano available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, so keep your own copies of important tickets and documents.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using Itanoat any time, and delete your account in the app under Profile, Account & security, or by emailing [privacy email, e.g. [email protected]]. What happens to your trips and data when you do is set out in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it; where we reasonably can, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to download your content.

10. Liability

Itanois provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by relying on travel information or AI output in the app, such as a missed flight or a closed venue, or by other travellers' content or actions. Our total liability to you is limited to [€100].

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can close your account before then; continuing to use Itano afterwards means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of [country whose law governs, e.g. the Slovak Republic]. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring proceedings there. Please contact us first: most problems can be sorted out quickly.
